The course has both an online portion oriented to teaching the entrepreneur about how to start a profitable coffee business.

The live hands-on portion of the course is densely packed with hands-on barista training designed to help the entrepreneur learn the standards of the coffee industry as well as design a complete menu to begin their mobile coffee business.

Each section of the course has a test-out where the student will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their newly acquired skills.

Classes are limited to 6 students. Each student must be a paying student. No experience is required.

Each class comes with a booklet which includes a coffee truck business plan, marketing campaign, sample floor plans, equipment list, opening and closing checklist and recipe cards.

FAQs

Where is the class held?

The class is held at Barelas Community Kitchen, located at 1411 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM.

What time does class start and end?
Class runs from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

What if I need to leave early on the third day?
That’s okay. The final portion of Day 3 is dedicated to hands-on practice and repetition. If you need to leave early, you will not miss new core instruction.

What airport should I fly into?
Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ).

Do I need a rental car?
No. A rental car is not required. Uber and Lyft are reliable, and most rides cost $5–$10 per trip, depending on where you stay.

Is parking available?
Yes. Free, on-site parking is available at the kitchen.

Where should I stay?
Below are recommended hotels by area. These are comparable in quality to the Sheraton Uptown and commonly used by past students.

Downtown Albuquerque (close to the class):

What should I wear?
Albuquerque mornings can be cold, especially in fall and winter. Dress in layers and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for standing and working around equipment.

Is lunch included?
Yes. Lunch is included each day.

What should I bring?
Bring a notebook or laptop if you like to take notes. All coffee equipment and training materials are provided.


REFUND & RESCHEDULING POLICY
Please read the Refund and Rescheduling Policy carefully before registering.
There are no exceptions.

Refunds
Partial refunds will be made only if both of the following criteria are met:

  1. At least 30 days written notice prior to the start of class

  2. Another student is able to attend in your slot

If both criteria are met, 50% of your deposit will be returned.
If either requirement is not met, the deposit is non-refundable.

Rescheduling
Rescheduling requires 30 days written notice prior to the start of class.
If less than 30 days’ notice is given, the deposit will not be returned.
Each rescheduled registration is subject to a 15% fee of the registration price per person.
You may reschedule one time only.

Substitutions
You may allow someone to attend in your place if you notify Green Joe Coffee School at least 10 days in advance.

No Shows
If you are registered and have made a deposit and neither you nor a substitution attends the class, the registration is forfeit and no refund is issued.
